Jaap Sombroek, a 14-year old boy at the time, takes over the seat of drums player Gerrit Woestenburg on January 10, 1967. He plays drums on the first four singles of the band.
In October of 1969, Jaap leaves the band and moves to another band from Volendam: Left Side. He is replaced by Jan Keizer. In 1974, Jaap leaves Left Side too. Later he became a member of the Dekkerband.
Jaap dies on March 12, 2011.
