Gerrit Woestenburg

Full name: Gerardus Jozef Maria Woestenburg Date of birth: March 16, 1949 Place of birth: Volendam Residence: Volendam Band member since: July 1, 1965 Band member until: January 10, 1967

Together with his cousin Evert Woestenburg, Gerrit is one of the first four members of BZN. From the start he plays the drums in the band.
Because he cannot combine is study with the band, in 1967 Gerrit leaves BZN. He is replaced by Jaap Sombroek.
After his HBS study, Gerrit studies economics at the Amsterdam University. In 1973 he starts as a system-engineer at IBM, a job he still fullfills.
Next to his daily job, Gerrit has played in several bands, among which a 17-year period with Specs Hildebrand. At the moment Gerrit is also part of the BZN'66 Reunion Band.
